Our Story

A coffee shop that feels like coming home

The Coffee Garden started with a simple frustration: why did the best coffee in Houston feel like it belonged to a neighborhood that wasn't ours? We opened our doors on Houston Avenue with the belief that great coffee shouldn't require a pretentious attitude to enjoy.

Eight years later, we're still doing things the slow way. We source our beans from roasters who treat farmers fairly. We bake our pastries every morning instead of ordering them in. And we still remember most of our regulars by name — not because we're trying to be charming, but because showing up consistently means something.

Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso between meetings or settling in with a pour-over and a book for an hour, this space is built for the way you actually want to use it.
